Wow, I cannot believe someone is asking such a question.

There is an insurgency in Iraq and full-blown civil war in Syria. The insurgency in Iraq is led by a group of Sunni extremists who are called ISIL, ISIS, IS, Da'esh etc.

The province which borders Jordan (entirely) is called Anbar Province. The capital is Ar-Ramadi. Anbar is the heartland of the extremist group I mention above.

Even if you were willing to face what I would say is 75% chance of death, luckily for you the Iraqi Government will not issue you a visa, and I am pretty sure the Jordanians would not be very keen on letting you in.

If you are in Turkey, you can get into Iraq from there, but only into Kurdish-administered regions.

I drove across northern Iraq late last year, getting fairly close to ISIS lines. To go beyond is really not a good idea.

Turkey to Iran (with a cautious trip up North) would be a better trip. You can get into Iran, but there is currently a requirement for US, UK, etc to have a guide the whole time, which can be cost prohibitive.

In which country are you based? I'm curious to know what you planned as far as a bike? Bringing your own, versus renting.

Good luck with your plans!
