Small bike trip approx 3 weeks

I've plenty of experience of RTW type trips (on big bikes usually), but this is different.

Last year ten of us (most of them non-bikers) did HCM to Hanoi on hired XR150's, and had a great experience doing it :scooter:

Planning to do something similar in the new year, but I'm wondering about similar but different alternatives to Vietnam. Philippines and India have been mentioned, as has Thailand. I really liked the un-spoilt nature and friendly people of Vietnam, but would like to try something different.

Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I have just finished a three week trip to northern Pakistan on a rented Suzuki GS150 and it was a great place to ride. I did spend some of that time relaxing in Karimabad but I am sure there is enough up there to keep you busy the whole time.
I rented a bike from Kharacorum bikers in Gilgit who also provided the LOI needed to get the visa, although you might need to wait for the spring before heading that way.

Laos is really great imo. Lots of unspoilt nature, friendly people - cheap and relatively safe.

Another alternative is Indonesia. Maybe the islands of Sumbawa and Flores? Or the Sulawesi island? Fantastic nature, friendly people and much of it are very off the beaten track.

I have done 2 trips to India through the Himalayan alps of Himachal Pradesh via a tour company that is based there so they keep costs low, very cheap for 2-3 weeks riding the Royal Enfield classic 500 bikes. Very beautiful country , friendly people and an unforgettable trip. Super organised tour includes all meals, bikes, accommodation, superb tour operators with their own bikes and back up mechanics and vehicles.
It is really recommended for those with experience riding motorcycles and you must have a bike license to ride here as safety of a rider able to manage a bike is very important due to the challenging road conditions.
Let me know if interested and I’ll send you a link to their website
