Shipping destination
 

Our next trip will go to South Asia and I need help on the following topics:

1. We will ship our truck RORO to one of the following destinations: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand or Indonesia. Which port do you recommend?

2. We will travel for 2-3 months, fly back to Europe for a similar period of time and then continue our asian trip. In which countries and for how long can one park the car (we have a carnet)?

From what I have read here don't go to Singapore with your own vehicle. Bureacracy.

Hi!

We would make a ranking:

1. Malaysia, Port Klang (easy and helpful):thumbup1:
2. Thailand, Bangkok Harbour (not to difficult, but huge and more complicate):confused1:
3. Indonesia (like India, much corruption, all in chaos):nono:
4. Singapur (much to much bureacracy, forget it, they will produce a lot of not needed hassle):cursing:

For the longstay, I think Thailand is best. But not completily sure. Meaby Malaysia. One of this countries.
