Shared Guide China Torugart Pass - KKH
 

Hi there,

We are in the process of arranging a guide etc for China, through Stan Tours, from Torugart Pass, Kyrgyzstan to KKH Pakistan, for the last week of August this year. We plan to enter Pakistan on 1st Septemeber 2009.

We are going to get the guide whatever, but if someone else would like to share a guide let us know and we might be able to save costs.

The dates are pretty inflexible as most of the trip is dependent on this.

So far we have one 4x4 and one bike.

I am planning to cross China through the same road at the same time. Entering from Torugart Pass, Kyrgyzstan and exiting to Pakistan.

The difference will my vehicule, a small 125 cc Vespa:mchappy:

I would be glad to share the cost of the guide etc ..

Yes I am currently updating our route :) It has changed several times, but we are now settle on a route, barring emergencies!

Where are you based?

Whats the rest of your route?

Will be great to share a guide. I'm sure your 125 will be a match for our landie.

We have spoken with Stan tours and his quote was ...

'Prices have gone up a bit: The minimum for 7 days from Torugart to Karakorum sharing guide etc and assuming the guide can fit into the car:
Ollie and Jenny USD 950 each (1 car, twin room)
Russ USD 1,680 (1 bike, single room)
Total 3,580 for bulk payment cash in Kashgar.
I can send details and a binding offer upon request! Documents must be launched latest 1 month in advance. The recommended arrival day is WEDNESDAY, as the paperwork upon arrival can drag on 2..3 days.

Not sure how that would pan out with an extra bike. Have you spoken with David at all?
