Riding Java: Jakarta bike rental and route tips please?
 

Hi everyone,
I have a little bit of time off at Christmas this year and I am thinking about grabbing a cheap flight to Jakarta, hiring a small bike and riding around the island of Java for 8-9 days.

Has anyone got any recommendations for good motorcycle hire shops in Jakarta?

Would also love some tips on good places to see, good roads to ride, etc.

hope you like slow travel. Java. Why??? Any other island makes sense. We rode across all of Indonesia and felt Java was tortuous. Flores is awesome. why not fly to Bali and head west via ferries. Flores is awesome. Lombok is good too or even Sumatera.
