Maxim Borkhes is lost in Iran. WANTED! Help!
Hi, collegues.
Russian biker lost in Iran. Maxim Krylov also known as Borkhes, 33 years old. Maxim departed on 3rd May 2014 on his Honda Transalp 650 (License plate 1623 AO 50) from Moscow, Russia to Iran via Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. He joined two bikers (well known guys in Russian mototravellers community) and they passed a part of the way together. On 24th May Maxim SMSed, he was going to go to Qeshm island. He also SMSed from that island. The photo was taken on Hormuz island. Maxim intended to come back to Russia via Armenia and Georgia. However, he was aware, the mountain pass in Georgia was closed and the most possible way back is via Azerbaijan. The last SMS from Maxim "Soon. I'm gonna go up towards Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz". Facts: 1. Maxim did not pass Armenian border 2. There was a sand storm in Iran 3. Merhaba,
Just got in connection on this matter, with 3 local friends and 8 int. biker friends who are currently travelling in Iran.
Hope will be helpful to get good news very soon. FOR THE ATTENTION OF EVERYONE TRAVELLING IN IRAN. ******************************************* This is a main subject during our chats with foreign friends in istanbul who are heading to Iran. All foreign travellers who take photos outside cities aspecially ın noman lands are mostly being reported and then hosted/arrested in İran for a while by civil military.. Generally Turks are let free after 2-3 hours, those who speak english after being 1 day hosted as its very hard to find translator even english speaking authority in most parts of iran.(Mostly between mashad and zahedan) No english may cause a long term problem.. Probably thats what may happened with him... I remember 3 turkish bikers, 1 turkish cyclist and 5 int. travellers (All in Hubb also) who had this memory within last 12 months.. |
Status Update
Any news regarding Maxim's whereabouts?
I am in Iran right now (Shiraz) - and heading north to Armenia over the next 7-10 days. Is there anything I can do along the way? Thanks Keith |
