I found a very interesting thread on the KKH roadworks development.

I know its progress and it must be great for the local populace and for trade / tourism, but, I'm glad I rode the road in 2007. It would be nice to go back in a couple of years for the comparison and to see some of the other valleys as Omie suggests: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ghlights-78772

Not sure how the road was in 07, but in '14 it was a gem to ride! We still had to do the ferry crossing... that will be over next year I guess...

I agree with RB, great for everybody except us types who like a challenge on our little trips around the globe!
It looks like a European road...... centre white lines on the KKH :eek3:

Glad I rode it in 2009 when half of it was still dirt :clap:

I guess its to try and stop events like this. We were stuck for 5 days while they rebuilt it. Not good for the locals or tourism and trade.
