I came across this wikipedia article. It states that from august 2025 EVERY tourist ( except travellers from visa-free countries) has to book a fully guided tour in order to obtain a visa.

Fake news on wiki or has somebody more info/ been already been rejected a visa on these grounds?

What a shame - I have never been there but most travellers who have travelled in Iran say its a beautiful and interesting country…
