This is the insurance that i picked up in Amrista India for my BMW 650, the motorbike was also photographed by the insurance company. Sorry for the delay in putting the information up. |
we tried....
when we first entered India (Amritsar) we tried to obtain insurance - but were told 'no way' was it possible due to the engine sizes of our bikes and have since traveled all of our time here without. Despite once again requesting when we arrived in Mumbai just to be on the side of caution.
Not been stopped by an police/official once in our 9 weeks here so far. would be interested to see how it was for others recently. |
I tried...
No joy in Amritsar and tried again in Pune and Goa. Same reason given each time - Vehicle not registered in India. The was with an Indian friend who has half a dozen bikes, helping.
I was stopped twice by police. They were only interested in my driving license. The real one, not the IDP. John |
