India: safe to ride in Chhattisgarh?
 

We are wondering if anyone here has rode their bikes in the state of Chhattisgarh? We are thinking to pass through that way but have been reading some information recommending not to because of ongoing rebellion issues. Any suggestions/info??

From the news here, it's been quite unsafe in some areas of Chhattisgarh, in the past few months. Personally, I think it would be best to avoid it . I'm sure you'll will be see equally beautiful places on another route without having the fear of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and becoming easy targets.

Sounds like maoists targeting the military? if you do go thru, avoid riding at night & wild camping.
