Why?

Yep,

And then everyone has his reasons to go or not to go to places, his own way giving priority to things and his own appreciation of what is 'too dangerous'.

Taking part in traffic means you put yourself at risk. Riding a motercycle much more then riding a car. But we're used to do so, so we don't consider that risk as a risk. And then suddenly, when it's about a place we don't know, everything is much more uncertain, the perception of danger of what we don't know is totally different from what we are familiar with. What is the risk of getting bird flue? Of being crushed by a truck? of walking under a falling bomb? Try to stick numbers to it (like on a population of x million, so many people die in traffic, die from bird flue and will potentially die in an airstrike) and evaluate for youself... .

It's not that I would CHOOSE to go to a war zone, but I'm on the Arab peninsula now (and having a ball). If Iran where closed I'd have nowhere to go, cause in Africa there's a bunch of wars going on as well.

Northern Ireland was a war zone for a long time, too...

I'd look at each country and make up my mind.

As far as rights are concerned: nobody has ANY in Iran. Nobody but US citizens has ANY while in the US. We could continue this list...

Travelling involves risk. The biggest risk, in most countries, is road traffic, particularly if you ride.
