India-Myanmar border is still closed - so you must airfreight your bike from Nepal/India to Malaysia/Thailand….

Or join a tour from Nepal to Laos, via China (but very expensive, is one even available?, need to apply for China visa in home country...). Which ever transfer over/ around Myanmar is chosen, it'll cost a lot

Ladakh in October will be cold :freezing:. Will the Border Roads Organisation still be clearing landslides/ snow/ice from Ladakh access roads, or have they stopped for the winter?

Yes you are correct. If there is a group going at that time he can join its a possibility. Paying a tourcompany alone will be painfully expensive me thinks…

WE hope to get to Ladakh end of September to cross some passes.

If the weather is bad we will have to pass.

Please share your information/sources. If India/ Myanmar land borders are open, there are probably 100s of people who would want to drive/ ride from India to Thailand via Myanmar in the coming months.

The weather can be "bad" any day out of 365 in the year. If the BRO, because they've stopped for the season, aren't there to clear the last landslide nobody is getting through to Leh or beyond.

Please dont post rumours without at least some background information and links to information about this.

Im friend with the owner of one of the main guide companys who used to escort travellers through Myanmar pre-covid - and according to him the Moreh-Tamu bordercrossing between India and Myanmar is not open for international travellers and will not be for the forseeable future….

But it would be great if it was…
