Fresh information about parking the bike in India

As you might have seen in other posts we are two guys heading for Nepal from Sweden later this year. Due to the fact that I have 2 small kids I would like to park the bike in a safe place in India for a month or two while I am home playing house before we continue our journey.

We will be entering India with a Carne de Passage (CDP)

Would a maneuver like this be possible or are you risking breaking the law and
the terms of the Carne de Passage.

I have seen a couple of posts about this subject but they are old and I am hoping for some fresh info..

Sorry for bombarding this forum with questions, hopefully I can help you guys in the future when I have more experience!!

I have no recent information about this although I do remember someone clearing it with Indian customs to leave their bike in a bonded warehouse while they went home, but it is usually easier to do this in Nepal where customs are far more relaxed and helpful, I have entered Nepal twice by motorcycle, once on a UK registered and again on an Indian registered and my experience is they do not write it into your passport, with the Indian registered one they did not even make a record of its entry.
