Far East touring bikes in Hanoi, do they exist.
 

Anyone got any suggestions about where to buy a bike, new or second hand to ride in a wandering fashion down to Singapore. Also anyone know of a decent mechanic that can bodge up some panniers and most important anyone know any good beer bars in Hanoi? Not that kind, I'm in my 70´s and my back hurts. Ride safe.

Try a place called Flamingo. It's a small shop but they do have a variety of bikes for rent and the guy is a decent mechanic. He might have other contacts for bikes for sale...
