Current situation in Eastern Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan?
 

Hi guys,

I'm planning a trip to Turkey for this summer. I'm wondering if anyone has any first hand information on the current situation in Eastern Turkey (Erdogan vs the Kurds)? Or if anyone knows of any reliable websites I can find info on?

I've read that in late February there have been killings in Iraqi Kurdistan by either the Turkish army or the PKK (depending on the sources), which might indicate tensions. I've also read about Turkish atttacks on Kurds in Northern Syria. But it's hard for me to get an idea of the general situation in the region.
