China visa on Central Asia

Hi,

I am struggling to get visa for China here in Turkey.
6 months ago China government changed regulation and it is now impossible to get the Chinese visa issued here in Turkey if you are not officially a Turkish-resident.
I believe this is the case in all countries.

Nevertheless, I wonder whether anyone here had any luck requesting visa for China in any country (Iran? Kyrgyzstan? Azerbaijan? Armenia? etc etc) which is not his/her home-country.

Thanks on advance.

Hi angel,
Not sure if it's your route, but we travelled with some people through china who got their visa in ulan bataar, Mongolia.
We were told Kyrgysztan is a terrible place to get a visa for china: cyclists we met sent their passports back to Germany from Bishkek in order to get their visas.
Don't know about other places I'm afraid.

i would try to get 1 in KZ, you shouldnt have a problem getting a Chinese visa, if this is the case in Turkey it is a out of the ordinary case, i just got a visa for china done in Australia with out being a resident,

But let me ask you please what drivers licence do you need to drive in china?????? NEED TO KNOW!!!

Hi

I tried to get my China Visa in Bishkek, the Embassy website said 1 week processing. When I got there they said 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately I had to be at the Chinese border before then. So I DHL'd my visa to a London China visa agency, and they sent it back within a week.

Your guide for china should be sorting the driving licence out for you. Have you arranged a guide yet or are you going to try and get in without one?

Hi guys,

quick post. I finally got my Chinese visa in Tehran. VERY VERY easy. Took only 2 days for the express option (70USD express/40USD normal).
If you pass by and need a Chinese visa, that's probably your place.

The China crossing has been pre-organized. The group is supposed to enter from Torugart next Monday 15th September.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Angel
