Battery has died in Kathmandu

Hey everyone,

I have a DR 650 in KTM with a dead battery. I flew home for holiday period and thought I might be able to take a new one with me on the way back but none of the airlines I've called said they'd accept a motorbike battery as luggage.

The guys at the big bike workshop in KTM can only find a similar battery that is 35mm taller than the stock Yuasa YTX9-BS so I doubt it will fit under the seat.

Anyone got any ideas?

Nick

When are you going to be back to Kathmandu?
Maybe I can help you...

I'm flying back around the 20th of February. Are you in Nepal at the moment?

No, I'm in Italy now.
I will fly to Delhi feb 22nd and plan to be in Kathmandu on my bike (Honda Dominator) second week of march.
From there, I will ship the bike back to Italy by air, so, once it is in the crate, I can give you my battery (same as yours).
But probably it will be too late for you...
