South America on vintage 4 wheels....

Have just discovered this fabulous site - I hope you don't mind me wanting to be part of it - even tho I am 4 wheels not 2.

A friend and I are planning to ship a vintage car (jag) to Uruguay and drive through Argentina to Chile. We are planning to leave in November and take 3 months over the trip.

Although each of us have travelled in S America before, neither have any experience of taking a vehicle or long distance driving in South America, so all advice, contacts and information will be very very welcome...
