Hi,

Karen & I are planning our South American M/cycle trip for mid October 2015. Return mid Jan. We are from Victoria, Australia. Also had a brief time in 1988 backpacking through Chile & Peru with a 2-3 yr old (now 30). Have spent last 10 to 15 yrs backpacking thru Asia, with short (2-3 days) Asian bike trips.

We are in the process of getting our gear & bike together. Have been looking @ Kawasaki KLR 650 with Motorad panniers & extras.

I have ridden all my life, having been bought up in farming Central NSW. Now ride road only.

Our plan is to start in Santiago, head south to Ushuaia, then to Buenos Aires (BA). We will then reaccess our northern plan when in BA. Plenty of options from here. Just want to see how we are doing at this point.
