Hi from uk

Hi all, my name is Graham and i thought i would introduce myself. Im going to embark on my first long(ish) solo trip next year around parts of Canada then down into the USA. i plan to be away for about 2 months, maybe longer if all goes well, then back home to the uk and if funds allow, into Europe.
i've only done a bit of travelling over the last 3 years on my bike and like so many, i now have the bug and need to go and explore further afield. i'm 56 and now single so the time is right, and have nothing to hold me back. I will be trawling the site to find as much info as i can, so any information will be gratefully received. i hope to meet up with some of you on the road in the near future.

Hi Graham,

Welcome to the HUBB :)

For a 2 month trip I would certainly consider renting a bike in the USA or Canada - or if you are planning riding to Central and South America in the future consider buying a bike in the Americas and leaving it somewhere over this side of the pond, in the long run it will save you basically the cost of the bike shipping it back and forth from Europe.

Hi Grif,
I did look into bike hire, but the cost was just as much as bringing my own bike over, plus to be honest, i would prefer to do it on my own bike. :mchappy:
