I'm a new starter in all things adventure, starting out gently with trips to Scotland first of all then looking to Europe but that will probably be next year.

Ride a Triumph Explorer XC.

There is loads of info on Scotland and the islands on here. I'm also planning outer Hebrides trip myself from the SW sometime via the lakes.
