Hi from Düsseldorf - Germany
 

Hi all,

I'm Claus, 48 yrs young, living in Düsseldorf/Germany. My plan is to do a RTW trip, starting with the first leg hopefully in September 2020. I do lack a bit of practice riding a motorcycle - used to have a XT660Z until a few years ago and just today have ordered a black Ténéré 700 which I will pick up in March next year.

Thank you all for the tremendous amount of useful contributions to this forum - I have learned a lot the past few weeks just by reading. I will give something back once I have experiences to share.

no worries - riding experience will improve while you're on your way. And the Tenere isn't too heavy for such a trip, esp. if you want to include dirt roads. A good piece of advice somebody wrote on the HUBB: "When in doubt, apply throttle" :mchappy:
