Its been 6 years since my last trip - hence the username!

I ride for work, and travel countrywide for work, but even thats not enough to satisfy the urge to travel further afield

So...... summer 2012, I will be heading off for the Pyramids - not the little one in Rome either

I've covered most of Western Europe, so looking to cut out a lot of 'dead' miles by sea transport.. Portsmouth to Bilbao, Overland to Marseilles, then by sea to Tunisia

Once I hit Africa its all foreign to me! Google has provided some very usable road maps for Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, and thats as far as I've planned! My return journey is very much undecided, I've considered freighting the bike back from Egypt, or overland around the edge of the middle east and into the nearest seaport in Turkey that will get me across to Italy

Any ideas on routes for the return leg would be welcome, and if theres anybody out there considering a trip along a similar route then would definitely be interested in sharing ideas, and possibly going as a group

Until then I'll be saving up my clubcard vouchers - can be used for travel on the channel tunnel if needed for the return journey!
