Hello from La Vida Vespa Germany
 

Hello, I am Markus 41 years old from Germany. Since 2014 I travelled more than 60.000 kms in 35 countries on 3 continents on oldschool Vespas.
This summer I plan my biggest Trip so far. In honor of a Vespa Adventure of a Friend I will try to ride on 3 Vespas around the world in 80 Days.
Yes I know many will say : Why not take your time ? Well it is a challenge and has a history and I have a small budget as well ;-).
I will start and finish my Trip in Madrid and head east till Vladivostok first. There I want to ship my First Scooter back cheapest possible in parts ( Any Advise is welcome here ) and contintue by ferry to Seoul to fly into San Diego. There awaits me a Vespa that I left there last year after a Coast 2 Coast of the USA. I wanna ride it to New York and ship it cheap in parts from there or fly with it to europe if that makes more sense. ( Also Tips are appreciated ) I will pick up Vespa number 3 in Amsterdam and head down to Madrid again where I hopefully land after 80 Days.
I post a pic of the raw route and if you have any feedback to the chosen route it will be highly appreciated. And yes I know that a Vespa is difficult for the trip and I know it is inadequate in the eyes of most adventure bike riders, but THAT is the point ;-).

Welcome to the forum. Wow, that is quite a trip! There are quite a few people that take the "wrong" bike on a trip, or so they say. If you want to do it, then do it! Who cares what other people say! I saw a guy on YouTube that did a RTW trip on a Suzuki GSXR1000. In comparison, I think I would much rather be on a Vespa than a sportbike! Safe travels.
