Hello from Toronto/Canada!

Hello guys!

My name is Alex and I'm currently planning a RTW trip beginning in October 24 of 2009.

I've been riding since I was 13 on dirt, then switched to street at 19. I'm currently 27 years old. Over the past few years I've grown older and perhaps a bit wiser, and with that my sport bike/street riding desire has mutated into motorcycle adventures.

The highlight of my motorcycle adventures lead to a road trip in the summer of 2006 where I completed 13,000 km North American bike trip with a close friend. Roads included Route 66, highway 1 in Canada, and the PCH, which travels along side the west coast of North America. If you're interested, you can see a hand full of pics along with a map here:

Beyond motorcycle only traveling, I have traveled and seen much of western Europe/UK and North America through traditional back packing, car trips and vacations. I'm first generation Maltese in Canada and visit the Mediterranean often. (and feel lucky to have an EU passport as well as a Canadian one) I actually threw up some photos of places I've been here on my website:

I learned of Horizons Unlimited through the Kudu Expeditions website. I actually signed up for their London -> Kathmandu trip leavig Oct 24/09, but plan on transforming it into a RTW trip. I have a very sketched out map, but this is what I've considered thus far:

Obviously this requires more planning, research and prepration and I'm very happy to have found this internet resource. I have plenty of questions to ask!

On a personal basis, if anyone cares I am atually a 3D artist at a studio, specializing in PS3 and XBox360 next generation games. I also teach and write game development curriculum here at a local college. You can get a better idea of my job but visiting my personal website where I've compiled my completed games:

Cheers!

Alex.
