im Pete, I met a chap a good few months ago at BMF in peterborough, im sure you lot will know of him. hes the guy with the cb500 who plans to do a world tour on a shoestring. Anyway I had a quick chat with him again at the kickback show at donnington park and its really got me thinking. Basically im 27 years old, I had a bit of a rough few years when i was 21 and now im trying to get back on with my life. Now ive always worked in engineering ever since i left school, ive got a good collection of cars, and bikes, ive got my own house etc, and I suppose a good job. However, ive also got no ties holding me back. Now ive been thinkng as the past few months ive really lost interest in my job, most of my mates are settling down with 2.4 kids and all that and i dont feel that is for me! (just yet anyway!) Sooooo ive thought sod it, i will sell everything except a couple of bikes I cant part with, buy a suitable bike (possibly a ktm adventure?) jack my job in and head off into the sunset for 12-24 months. Hopefully this isnt just a pipe dream as im sure lots on here will have done the same! Im hoping you lot have plenty of advice and tails to wet my appetite!
