Hello All

Hi to all. Loving the info, advice and wealth of knowledge the site hold.

Have ridden the US solo predominantly on big twin H-D's and am now planning another ride on GS1200A. Would love to here from those who have done the trip of Australia to UK either direction

Cheers

Firstly welcome to the HUBB. As you will have seen there is loads of information on the site. I would suggest having a meander around the site - by all means ask questions but it is worth doing a search first to see if the question has been asked already - but check the date of the thread as it may need updating - so resurrect the thread.

It may be worth having a read of a book by Brian Rix and Shirley Hardy-Rix who did the journey you have asked about some years ago. They were going to ride from their home in Australia to the UK. It they realised that they would be battling the weather the whole way so they did the trip from the UK to Australia. anyway, have a read of their book and make our own mind up - it is YOUR trip, not mine, not theirs, yours.

Hello and welcome,
I second what Jay has said about looking around and seeing what information is already on here, my experience having done UK to Australia is depart the UK/Europe around mid August to mid September and arrive in India at the end of October or early November after the monsoon, after that things are more flexible as to how long the rest of your trip lasts.
I did that trip on an 800 BMW but with the glories of hindsight would have used something smaller in the 400-600cc range.
