frustrated in Buffalo New York

Hi everyone. I join this forum to open my adventure riding experience. I start riding at a young age street riding. I'm 66 years old and started to gravel roads 3 years ago on a 1999 Triumph Tiger 900 after picking it up a few times I decided to buy a lighter motorcycle, 2002 BMW F650GS. I have done a Xplore class this year. Did the MABDR in two halves. I listen and contribute to Adventure Rider Radio (Grant Johnson always talking about what a great resource this site to belong---not feeling it) the gravel roads of WNY and NW Penn. I don't know how to use this website, or it is not user friendly. I understand there is a community in Rochester New York but when I try to contact them through this sit it tells me I" don't have access". My goal is to contact the Rochester group to see what they can contribute to my adventure riding experience. I would contribute to this site if I can get some assistance.

Hi roninbuffalo,

You posted this on the HUBB. Well that is how you use this site. If you have questions, ask them here and with a little luck, someone will know the answer.
You can also use the search function to find answers to questions and don't forget to read other peoples travel stories. A great inspiration. :-)

To contact a group, you should go to the community page on this side ( https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/connect/contact ) .
Select the group you want to contact and fill the form on the bottom of the list. That should work.
Make sure you are logged in before you do it.

The BMW F650GS is a nice bike. I went to the North Cape and back on one, a 8000 km ride with no problem.

Good luck with your travels and welcome on the HUBB.

Jan thank you for your response. I did send a email to contact my local group waiting for a response.

roninbufflao, welcome to the HUBB!
I think you'll find everyone is very friendly and helpful. The issue you;'re having with "how to" is that HU is huge, with a great number of different resources - it will always take a little time to find your way around.
You HAVE found the critical areas, so you're doing well!
Be SURE to browse the dropdown menus at the top of the page - they're a fantastic guide to finding the myriad of resources here.
Also, be sure to subscribe to any threads you start or want to keep up with. With a Thread Subscription you'll get an email when there's an update.
The FAQ is always worth a browse too!
