European dissident in Africa :)
Hello everyone!!
I'm, kinda, new on 2 wheels altogether. I was NOT sitting on a motorcycle for over 30 years ;) since my teenage years when I was learning to ride on some eastern european 125cc Now, having spent my life stuck in traffic jams while living in big European capitals... I am out of Europe, living my mad African life on a locally popular Indian motorbike. But, no more big traffic :D:thumbup1: even though shitty roads full of pot-holes, cows sleeping in the middle of the roads, no road signs, no consideration to the traffic lights, people riding, walking, driving in all directions, head-on, etc, etc. Fun.... good to keep ALL your senses switched on... PROPER! ;) It's an interesting place to start or re-start your motorbiking adventure... especially when you feel that you need to learn how to ride a bike again :) At least the weather is good :) I'll got a couple of questions related to a choice of bikes for my planned adventures here in Africa now... and I thought I'd love to listen to your suggestions. next post to come in the relevant section Thank you |
Welcome Bronek! And congrats on getting to a new home you love - despite the problems! :)

Hello!
Whereabouts are you living? How did you end up there? |

Well, the choice between putting up with British miserable weather and going to another insane lockdown, all my hobbies, my job, etc etc being killed in front of my eyes.... VS living like :Beach::palm: you're on holidays, riding a motocycle in 30 degrees :mchappy: in shorts, t-shirt 365 days / year etc etc... I think, at some point in your life, enough is enough. How? well.... turn off the TV, believe nobody, book the ticket, burn the bridges (optional), have no plan B... and go for it. :D P.S. sorry, I'm just being silly with those emojes ;) |
The "how" I was more thinking of how to have a steady income enough to live there ;-)
