Cross continental dreamer
 

Hello!
My name is Si, just found this forum & i think its awesome!

I have dreamed about riding from my home isle of jersey to new zealand since I was about 11yrs old but have had too many other commitments to do it, however now I am free! Whoop whoop!

So... I am thinking an Enfield in 2011, just about give me time to get the bike, kit, visas, knowledge(!) etc up to speed. Probably one very difficult bike to do it on but eh if its going to be epic do it in style i say! Plus there is a pit stop in India :-)

There we are, thats my plan. I work in a shitty office and it is full of people NOT getting off their asses and enjoying the world...!?! Dull, dull, dull! So sod them, I can handle 2.5 yrs more with the greatest freedom known to man at the end of the tunnel.

Warning: I will be using this forum prolifically so please forgive me if I am rude, crass or generally dickish over the next year, and please help me in my quest!

Welcome mate!

You'll find wealth of information around here form people who have "got the t-shirt" and alot of people in your postion. A few will beat you down on their "wisdom" when comes to bike choice (in can be a bit one eyed) but apart from that...get the keatle on and settle in for plenty of reading..:thumbup1:
