Trail Tech TTO Digital Oil Temperature Gauge for Triumph Bonneville T100 EFI 2012

Hi Gentlemen,

right yesterday I saw on the web this interesting and easy to install Trail Tech TTO digital Temperature Gauge with fin sensor, that can be easily installed inside any water or oil radiator alveolus (so also in the oil radiator of the Bonnie T100): Trail Tech || TTO Temp Meter
the fin sensor install is very easy, as you can see from this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb98zkw0qXA

my question is: does this sensor location give a reliable reading of the engine temperature, compared with the classic oil cap analog gauge that is more common to see? In brief: is it worth to install this digital sensor?
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Not used this coolant sensor, I use a Trail Tech Vapor on the DR650 (air/oil cooled) and have the heat sensor under the inner spark plug, giving me what seems to be an accurate reading of the head temp - which to me is more important than knowing the coolant temperature, I have the amber light warning come on at 180 C and red light at 200 C.

The Vapor has been pretty reliable, hope that helps, that is not a bad price either.
