new tiger

i recently read somewhere that triumph are bringing out a new tiger model with the latest 675cc engine ,anyone else know about this , if it,s true i just hope it,s significantly lighter than the 900 . i think it was in mcn? if it is lighter and has a decent sized tank and wire wheels ,it might just be a decent overlander, .

Try this link for MCN pictures of Tiger, can they make it any uglier? Plus those tyres won't be much use of tar seal.

An opportunity missed IMHO. It would be nice to see some competition for the GS but, this obviously isn't it which is a shame. LB.

Not a big fan of the styling myself, but I would like to see Triumph introduce a smaller/lighter more agile dual-sport machine.

the more i look at that, the more i prefer the scrambler ,also i imagine the scrambler will be cheaper.

I run an 02 Tiger on which I have covered much of mainland Europe and Norway. As I need to replace my bike now I've been keeping my eye on the new Tiger. It seems that Triumph are taking the Tiger down the Supermoto route and leaving the ST to fill the Sport/tourer spot in the line-up. This is a shame. Yes Geoff I know that the Tiger looks like it caught fire and someone put it out with a shovel but it's as good a tourer as any GS. All Triumph had to do was fit the new 1050 motor, add shaft drive and update the styling and they'd be right up there with KTM taking the smugness out of BMW.
