Weight of crates?
 
Hi all,

Planning to ship my bike (BMW R1200GS) from Sydney to NZ and there are two different crate options available: HD and BMW.
HD uses metal crate, BMW wooden crate.
Does anyone know which one is lighter?
Any info if big GS can fit in to HD crate?

If you are shipping rather than flying I am not sure a few kilos difference will affect the price, it is about the volume, check with your shipper but if this is correct use the one that fits the bike best.

I am still not sure if I will put the bike to a ship or if I put it to a plane. It all depends of the price. As soon as I have more info, I will post it here.

They often use volume on planes.
