UK to Bulgaria (and how to get the bike back)

Apologies if something similar has been posted before (I've been unable to find it). I have two questions:

1) We are looking to transport our BMW F800GS from the UK to Bulgaria/Turkey to start our trip there. Would anyone have a good contact for the best value transport opportunity? I've had quotes for van transport (£700) and airfreight (£800) thus far, but haven't seen too many options all together.

2) We plan on riding to India. Just to confirm - I wouldn't mind selling my bike to locals / other travelers (instead of transporting it back at a cost of £1500+ from what I gather), but I assume this is not a possibility due to the Carnet? If so, does anyone have good contacts for transporting it back from that wider region (be that India, Nepal, Tajikistan, ... :thumbup1: )
