Transport bikes Egypt to Europe??
 

Hi all,

I see the subject has been discussed before but looking for some up to date info. We will be riding up Africa from South Africa via the east starting Jan 2020 and looking to head over to Europe. What are the options on transporting our two bikes from Egypt to Europe. Is there a reliable ferry running?

No passenger ferry.

The other option depends on whether motorcycles are currently allowed through the Sinai towards the Egypt/Israel border. This seems to be a fluid situation, with "no" being the answer much of the time. Then you can catch a ferry from Haifa or Ashdod to Greece or Italy.

Thanks so much for the info, link does not seem to work. I met up with someone recently who crossed over from Haifa. Through a agent it cost him 400 euro excluding port fees, is this the going rate or is there a more cost effective option?
