Temp import permit Europe
 

Hi we also shipped from LA to Rotterdam in May 2016 with Schumacher and they arrange 6 month permits. We only travelled for 3 months through Europe and UK leaving bikes in storage in Vienna. Unfortunately due to Covid and personal circumstances we have been unable to retrieve them till this year. Apart from the maintenance issues to get them running again, on enquiry a shipping agent has mentioned we may have to pay import duties and VAT because the permit has expired even though we only rode for 3 months. We want to ship them back Europe to USA this year , any comments or recommendations welcome.

Take them out of the EU hopefully without being asked for the TIP on exit and ship them on from there, from the UK could be an option.
