South Africa to US via Vancouver
 

Hello! I am just about to end my overland trip through Africa, and I am looking to have my bike shipped by sea freight from Cape Town to Vancouver BC. I live in Portland, Oregon USA so this is much more convenient than Los Angeles port.

I have a Carnet de Passage and wanted to know if this plan makes sense or if I may encounter any legal issues driving the bike home from Vancouver. I know that I will need US customs at the land border to complete my certificate of location. But otherwise I am thinking it should be ok.
