Shipping XRV750 from Uk to India
Hello Biking Family
After many years of dreaming, it's TIME! Yes, I am mad enough to want to take my trusty Africa Twin over to India for a 6 month jaunt. I know, I know, I've lived and travelled in India over a 20year period so I guess I am (almost) prepared for the grief that is only to expected in such an undertaking. However, the prospect of hot sweet tea as the sun rises over the Himalayas with a decent trail bike between my legs can't go unrequited much longer. So - question - who of you has already done UK to India and can you give me any pointers on how to go about it and with whom? OR Maybe you have shipped India to UK, in which case you may know decent clearance agents or transport co's in India??? There must be some, just connecting with the right ones... Thanks for your feedback.:scooter::palm: |
Nepal is an option for you?
I haven't done it but looking around in here in the past, a lot of posts indicate that there is less hassle by shipping via Kathmandu, Nepal compared with the big cities of India.
Probably less bureaucracy and less buckshee. I have just returned to UK from a short visit to Nepal, on foot only because of circumstances, and I found all of the people to be very friendly and helpful; there are posts in the HUBB that recommend particular shippers, but I don't know, not having done that, so far. :welcome: here by the way. |

A lot of paperwork there..If you wish, give them a selam from us for details.
