Shipping Vladivostok - South America
 

Hi!

I am looking for some information of shipping from Vladivostok to South America next year end of September. We are traveling with our Pajero 4x4. I am in contact with Yuri and got the following information which I want to share:

Hello Mathias,

we still work. There are almost no travellers here now due to Covid. Prices for container shipping now are 3-4 times higher then before Covid. Shipping is possible in 40HC container. Talking about costs now is useless because it will be different next year. Now it is over USD10000 for sure for 40HC. Also Vladivostok port has congestions now and there are delays all the time.

So right now it is rather super expensive or almost not really an option for do a planing.

My questions for the crowd:

- Are there any alternatives? Like RoRo via Japan? We are currently thinking to drive back from Mongolia to Hamburg and do the shipping from there...

- In case there is a chance to catch a container in Vlad, is there anybody interested sharing one?

- Does anybody has an idea wether the ferry between Vladivostok, South Korea and Japan will continue to work? I was reading different informations in this board so I am a bit confused

Thanks for your help! I know some countries are still closed (e.g. Mongolia) but we hope it will change until summer next year :)
