Shipping from ullaannnbattaaar or lake baikal to Moscow possible?
 

Been on the trip for over a month now and met lots of nice people, now heading from Moscow to Mongolia (currently in nizhny novogrod).

Having met a great girl in Moscow I am exploring the possibilities of going back and seeing her for a while before my visa runs out.

So my question is.... Is the question in the header possible, also is there any chance I could travel with the bike?

I'm assuming this shipping will be done by road....

Have also heard rumours about trains being used possibly?

Lake Baikal to Moscow is possible via train it should set you back about US$200. The hassle of taking through the Mongolian border is not worth it (and possibly not possible) get up early and ride from Ulaanbataar to Ulan Ude in a day (it's an easy border crossing).

I've done it from Irkutsk to Moscow. Do a search and you'll find it.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have an English site. Takes about 12 days and IIRC cost about $600. But one question: if you're in a hurry to see the girl, why travel with the bike, why not fly back to Moscow?

Yeah true that is a much more sensible idea (flying) but I will just be sad to see my current girlfriend (lulu the motorcycle) go.
