Shipping South America to Australia
 

American lady traveler wants to know if Carnet is needed for flying/shipping her motorcycle to Australia from South America or USA. Motorcycle resisterted in USA.

Australia does require some paperwork to bring a bike in, including insurance which you buy there, but no carnet required. I will also forward this note to Mariola.

Also have one posting on shipping by sea from Santiago to Sydney, but not recommended by the person who did it. "The bike arrived nearly 2 months later than promised. The crate was a mess and lots of things broken and stolen. "
