Shipping from Seattle/Everett to Vladivostok with FESO/Eukor

Hello everybody,

on my RTW-Trip 2015/2016 I want to ship my bike and - and if is possible - me from the US-Westcoast (Seattle/Everett) to Vladivostok by vessel.

After a long research I found out that this will be possible with Fesco resp. Eukor (vessel-owner).

Here is the link:

http://www.eukor.com/homepage/eukor/...ice.jsp?seq=16

My problem is, that it is very hard to get a schedule for July 2015. In the shippment-business half year it´s a long time. But: When I can leave the US-Westcoast? When I will be in Vladivostok? Without a schedule for me it is nearly impossible to plan the visas for the rest of my route - from Vladivostok back to Germany. So: How I can get a schedule or something like that?

And: Is here anybody who knows if and how it is possible to get myself on the vessel?

Is there someone with experience, tipps or maybe helpful direct contacts to Eukor?

Thanks for every useful answer.

Best greetings from Germany,

Christian

Are you sure, that this operator would transport your motorcycle AND YOU across the Pacific?? That was probably more common some 30-40 years ago, but it´s fair to say, that it is very rare nowadays. Usually you send the bike as freight (by air or by sea), and fly yourself. There may be some exceptions, for example Grimaldi Lines does operate big Ro-Ro ships, that have a few passenger cabins, between Europe, Africa and South America, but I don´t know, if they have this kind of options on the Pacific as well.

Contact info including telephone numbers, seems to be on that website you linked, I think it would be a good idea to call them for schedules and offered services (I don´t know about this company in particular, but my experience is, that freight companies do not want to spend a lot of time responding to e-mails...)

If they actually DO transport passengers, then that would be very interesting info for many travellers I think....

Hey!

Thanks for your quick answer.

I am not sure if it´s really possible. But maybe there is a chance, because I know someone who knows someone and this guy ... ;-) I will see what happen. But if it works, for sure: I will post it - here in the HUBB-Forum.

But just in case: Do you know a good/cheap (air) shipping-company for this route? Do you have any experience?

Since yesterday I know, that I will get the schedule afte ther 1th January. So, I have to wait a little bit.

Greetings from Germany.

Have you considered shipping to Japan and then ferry to Vladivostok? Would probably make the importation into Russia easier as you would be with the bike.

Hey,

thanks for the tipp! I will have a look - maybe that´s easier. ;-)

I will post if it works.

Have great week. ;-)
