Shipping motorcycle from Turkey to Kazakhstan
 

Are there any companies that could help me to ship my bike from Turkey to Kazakhstan as the Azerbaijan border is currently closed. My original plan was to ride to Azerbaijan then to cross the Caspian Sea.

Friend of mine looked for one then ended up getting a russian visa in Tbilisi and riding through russia. Took about 2 days of which half day was at the border crossing. And a week and a half to get visa.

From what I remember there are many turkish trucks going to KZ via AZ ferry, but they're loaded finding something in opposite direction is much easier.

Azerbaijan the border is closed until April. It is not known what will happen next. I had asked the embassy of my country. I am also interested how to get to Kazakhstan from Europe.

The subject of the AZ border has been extensively discussed. Land and sea borders are closed to tourists and look like staying that way indefinitely. The local authorities don't want an influx of draft dodging Russians as happened in Georgia, and reckon that tourists arriving by air spend more anyway.

If you really want to transit AZ and use the Caspian Sea ferry you'll have to get your bike freighted in and follow by air to pick it up. Leaving the country isn't an issue, only entering.

Otherwise, the route most people take is through Turkey, Georgia and Russia to KZ.
