Shipping from India or BAngladesh To Thailand
 

Hello to everybody.
I'm in Nepal now with my Vespa. I need to go in Thailand but Myamar seems is still closed. Do you know a solution by boat or different way from India or Bangladesh to reach Thailand?

It used to be possible and relatively easy to fly with your bike from Kathmandu to Bangkok with Thai airlines, check that out.

Interested to know what you discovered, as I'm going in the opposite direction.

NYK has a RORO-connection between Europe and Singapore, and they connect from singapore to several ports including Chittagong, Calcutta and Laem Chabang near Pattaya. I knew some tradders who exported trucks from europe to Thailand and said it works pretty straight-forward. I will have the same problem if Myanmar isnt opening this year, but didnt connect yet with them. I would maybe ship from Calcutta to Singapore and pick it up there. Because if you want to continue to Laem Chabang, they transship your caror moto, what will take ofcourse time and also extracost. My plan is shipping it, and fly to Phuket maybe and waiting until it arrives in Singapore and the drive back to the north, in my caso to Phnom Penh !!

Have you reached Thailand with your vespa by boat?

I'm not the OP, I'm travelling with a Triumph in the opposite direction. Turns out my new carnet explicitly excludes Bangladesh "EX BANGLADESH", so now I'm only looking at shipping from Malaysia to India.
