shipping a bike from the US to Thailand
 

Hi everybody!

We are arriving with out bike in June in the US and are thinking how we can get it from the US to Thailand.
Does anybody have any tips or even experience on that?

My actual experience is permanently importing my motorcycle into Thailand and I shipped it with my household goods from Germany.

Whether one is attempting to temporarily or permanently import a motorcycle into Thailand a good place to start one's research is the following Thai Customs' link: Thai Customs.

You can always contact the Thai Customs department and ask them what is required to import a motorcycle. While one is backwards planning off of the importation requirements one can be searching for shipping companies in the U.S. with experience in shipping motorcycles to Thailand. Thai shipping companies that are experienced in importing motorcycles can also be contacted to see if they have shipping partners in the U.S..
