Shipment from East Timor to Port Klang?
Hi there,
has anyone done a shipment from East Timor to Port Klang - Kuala Lumpur? Any recommendations, companies and prices? Thank´s for your help! Bernhard |
No, I haven´t. But the most common way to ship bikes between Dili East Timor and Darwin is the freight line, that goes Singapore<>Dili<>Darwin. It used to be operated by Perkins Shipping, but maybe it is now under some different name (Toll Marine or something like that).
Getting your bike into Singapore seems to be a bit of a hassle with the paperwork, though, in that respect Port Klang would be my choice, too. But just mentioned this shipping line, because at least they should have plenty of experience, how to ship bikes. Maybe find their contact info and ask, perhaps they´ll know about Pt.Klang as well? |
Hello
I shipped to Port Klang last November 2012. I've wrote the procedure on how to get the bike out of custum in this thred: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...rth-asia-65944 The receiving Agent in KL was Kenny from AGS Port Klang - kennyimp(at)agssb(dot)com(dot)my Maybe they can help sushi |
Thanks!
I´m just arrived in Malaysia and will go down to KL anyway. I´ll ask around there and will see whats possible. I already got an ok to fly via Air Malaysia from Bali to KL (though, I don´t know the price yet) and I´m in email contact with Toll Group - East Timor. Asked them alos to be on the same boat as the bike... We will see how it goes and I´ll keep you updated. Have fun Bernhard |
