Ship from UK to Alaska or buy there?
Am planning to go (from UK) to USA/Canada next summer. Originally I was thinking of getting a bike in the UK, shipping to Alaska then riding to Panama. The ship to South Africa.
But now I'm thinking it will be cheaper to buy the bike in Alaska/Canada. Does this make sense? Can I buy in the USA/Canada, then ride down to Panama and ship onwards? if so it seems to make a lot of (financial) sense. What are the dis/advantages. Has anyone done this? Can you recommend a good dealer to buy from in Alaska/Canada. Has anyone shipped from Panama to South Africa? Thanks for the help. Dom |
