Seeking advice (travelling South America)
I'm new to the HUBB, so I am really sorry if the thread like that is there somewhere before or I put that question in the wrong forum.
I was reading a lot about that and know a lot of people did that, but couldn't find anywhere exact advice so I just decided to ask. I want to do a motorbike trip in South America (exactly start in Peru, through Bolivia, Argentina to Chile), but I don't wanna ship a bike there, I would like to buy it there and then sell it at the end of my trip. I've heard travellers very often sell their bikes after their trip and sometimes it's made "illegally", and I would like to find out how does that exactly look like and how common and difficult it is? Do you have any experience or sources I could take a look at? Thank you! |
South America
Hola Klaudiaaa,
:welcome: to the Hubb. Please read some of the threads here on the Hubb about buying and selling a bike in South America, this will answer all of your questions. You should not have a problem buying in Peru and crossing into Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. Selling it in Chile will not be easy (of course depending on your price), best would be to ride it back up to Peru and sell it there. Study Spanish and enjoy your journey mika from Bolivia :scooter: |
