Romania <> Georgia ferry back in action in summer 2023

This is the old UkrFerry boat that used to sail from just outside Odessa before the Russian invasion. Now it's under a new company and doing Constanta - Poti. Two days' sailing each way, 300 EUR for a motorcycle, a bed and three meals a day for the rider.

When I looked at that I read it as €300 for the bike plus another €200 for the rider, but if it's €300 all in I might take another look. I was looking at a trip to Georgia next month but I'd be tight on time and two days on the ferry would be a lot quicker than riding that distance. I could time manage on the way back a lot easier. That's always assuming the boat sticks to its schedule (more or less) and has space of course.

Schedules

Schedules are dependent on port berth availability and weather. This means taking the ferry is not for those in a hurry. Although the ferry can run on time, it is usually late. So make sure you schedule some buffer days in your travel plan.

Although there is maybe no information about the new company mentioned by Antyx, it is good to have these things in mind.

Yup, that seems to be the case after all - the page does say "Rate includes one bed for a person in standard room and three meals a day", above the passenger rates, but they probably mean it to apply to the passenger rates below.

Georgia is a lovely country, but a) it would almost certainly be easier to take a cheap flight and rent locally, and b) they seem to be in a bit of a roadworks meltdown this summer, with the main highway connecting Tbilisi to the west of the country washed out (after being partially dismantled due to the Chinese reconstructing it) and lots of problematic traffic. But that's the reality of Georgian roads anyway. :oops2:

That's what Bulgarian ferry is €300 for bike + €220 for passenger, paid in cash no card accepted.
