Recommendations for air shipment out of Australia - to ME
 

Hey HU mob,

I'm looking to ship my bike from Sydney to Amman, Jordan. Any recommendations on good companies or individual contacts?

Any advice on which companies to avoid?

I've looked at shipment by sea, but not convinced it will be that much cheaper or in fact, done that well - some horror stories out there. But happy to take advice on this as well.

If it came to it, I might be able to be convinced that riding my BMW 1200 Adventure to Perth or Darwin and shipping from there would be beneficial...go ahead, twist my arm!

Also after a crate in sydney, if anyone has a spare one.

In short, I shipped my bike from Oz to Peru. I will never send it by boat again. the delay, the added local charges and the cost of waiting for it simply is not financial sense. Due mostly because of an inept shipping agent (Bikes Abroad) but the taste is still fresh and bad. Thankfully I am time rich (now money poor thank you BA) but if time to wait is not an option and you dont speak the local language then you are behind the ball from the start.
Can't recommend any one but I will be flying my bike for the next 3.5 years of my RTW journey!
